My great-grandfather Wilfred Paradise was born in Quebec but his family came to Massachusetts when he was very young, living in Southbridge, Worcester and East Boston. He was the son of Philip and Claudia (nee Paradis, 1876-1898) and he had a step-mother Rosanna and a half-sister Alice who both died in the Spanish flu epidemic of 1918. His first wife, whom he married June 30, 1916, in Chicopee, was Euphemie Francoeur. She died of cancer in 1921. He married my great-grandmother, Nova Scotian born Helen Bourgeois on January 26, 1922 in Chicopee . They lived in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts before moving to the Baltimore, Maryland area. They had these children: Albert, Elaine Whitehead, Rita, Alice Fear, Wilfred Jr., Betty Krickbaum and Robert.
In the photo, he is far left.
