TAYLORVILLE - Dollie T. Loeb, 104, of Taylorville, formerly of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born on September 15, 1908, in Pawnee the daughter of Benjamin F. and Nettie Mae Copelin Thomas. She married Russell Oliver on July 8, 1928, and he preceded her in death in 1938. She then married Dr. Thomas G. Hill on July 6, 1943, and he preceded her in May of 1961. In November of 1961 she married Hubert Rex Loeb and he preceded her in 1973.
She was a member of the Rochester Christian Church since 1928; attended Brown's Business College; worked as a rural mail carrier in Sangamon County; assisted Dr. Hill in his Springfield practice, and helped in the Loeb Jewelry Store in Springfield.
She is survived by her stepchildren: V. Kay Hill of Riverside, CA.; Allan D. Loeb (Nancy) of Edmond, OK.; two step-grandchildren, Andrew T. Loeb and Emily Loeb; step-great-grandson, Alexander Loeb, all of Edmond, OK.; a sister, Mabel Bowsher of Edinburg (memorial #: 145310599); several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Rochester Christian Church; Brad Ferris officiating with burial in the Rochester Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rochester Christian Church or the charity of the donor's choice .
