Mrs. Henry Baker

Mrs. Henry Baker, living two miles north of Fillmore, died Sunday evening about 8 o'clock, after a week's illness-suffering with gall stones-aged 38 years. She was a daughter of Freeman Welch, of this city, and leave beside a husband, two children: a daughter 14 years old and a son seven years of age. Life will never be quite the same to those who knew her, while those who were nearest her will long for her with unutterable longing-long for a mother's counsel and advice, and a wife's gentle and loving sympathy. She was a woman of strong character, patient, loving, and self-sacrificing. The funeral will be held from the house on Tuesday at 1:30 o'clock, the Rev. Darrell officiating. The services at the grave being in charge of the Eastern Star of this city, of which order she was a faithful member. The interment was in the Chatfield cemetery. The many friends of the bereaved relatives are generous in their expression of sincere sympathy.
