Robert's first wife is currently unknown my me. Still researching.
I'm deeply indebted to Ms. Stanford for the following info:
20 September 2014 -- "Robert L. Koethe was married 2nd to one of my childhood friends from Silverstreet, Cynthia Eva Lake. He and Cynthia are buried in what is called "Lake Family Cemetery." It is listed in the "Newberry County, SC Cemeteries" Vol. 2. The book was published in 1985, so they are not listed in it. The small cemetery, which was surveyed for the book 30 Mar 1982, is across the road from the Silverstreet Lutheran Church Cemetery. I think Cynthia's parents are buried there too. I know her Lake grandparents are buried there. I grew up in Silverstreet and lived a block from both cemeteries. At that time, Cynthia's father owned the land behind the Lake Family Cemetery. ..."
