Clay, Neville Gregg[sic], aged 79 years, of Lincoln Street, Beckley, died at his residence Sunday, November 23rd. The body was removed from the Rose Funeral Home to the residence at 1PM Monday.. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 PM Tuesday, November 25th at the Clay Chapel at Glen Daniels with the Reverends A.S. Clendenin, C.D. Walker, E.A. Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be R.H, Holloway, Fred Clark, Phillip Stover, Noel Christian, Addie Gunnoe, Omar Fleshman, C.C. Thornton, and Richard Presley.

Honorary pall bearers will be Dr. D. M. Hoke, L.O. Gunter, Senior, Orliff Smith, W.L. Fink, Jay Wood, Dr. Cunningham, Samuel Turner, Hulett Smith, and James H. Cook.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mehessia Fleshman, daughter of J.W. and S. E. Fleshman, whom he married November 27, 1895, in Dameron, West Virginia.

Funeral services for Neville Craig Clay, 79, of 108 Lincoln Street, will be conducted at 1:30 PM in the Clay Chapel at Glen Daniel by the Rev. A.S. Clendinin and the Reverend C.D. Walker.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Clay died at 10:30 A.M. Sunday at his residence after an extended illness.

A native of Raleigh County, he was born at Dameron July 11, 1893, the son of James and Lodosca Clay, both deceased.

He had been a resident of Beckley for the past 35 years, first moving here in 1917.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mahessie Clay; a sister Mrs. Mary Gunnoe of Mabscott; and a brother, George Clay of Beckley.

Active pallbearers R.H. Holloway, Fred Clark, Phillip Stover, Noel Christian, Addie Gunnoe, and Omar Fleshman.
