Harold V. Asselborn, 79, of Aurora IL, passed away Sunday, January 13, 1991 at Mercy Center Hospital. He was born on August 26, 1911 in Aurora IL.
Mr. Asselborn was employed by Batavia Dairy for 30 years and by Aurora National Bank for 15 years until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of St. Rita of Cascia Church. The Teamsters Local Union #423, the Loyal Order of the moose #400 and The Knights of Columbus #736.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta R. (Feltes), of Aurora; three sons, Larry (Donna) of Hinckley, Ronald (Judi) of Batavia, and Dean (Patti) or Englewood, Colorado; three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Kay) Medernach, of Aurora, Mrs. Ron (Donna ) Dieter, of Galva, Illinois, and Mrs. Chris (Debbie) Cotter, of Aurora; 15 grandchildren; one sister, Ione Skinner, of Macon, Missouri and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Magdalene (Ott) Asselborn; two sisters and one brother.
Funeral from the Daleiden Lake Street Mortuary on Wednesday, January 16 at 10 am to St. Rita of Cascia Church for concelebrated funeral mass at 10:30 am. Fr. Robert J. Willhite, the principal celebrant with Fr. Clement Petit and Fr. Edmund Petit concelebrating with interment in Marywood Cemetery.
Visitation at the mortuary from 3 to 9 pm on Tuesday. A liturgical wake service will be held at 7 pm.
