Margaret was born at Gettysburg, Adams County Pennsylvania; the daughter of John and Mary (Lockhart) Morrow. She was a sister of the Honorable Jeremiah Morrow, who was a congressman, senator, and governor for the state of Ohio.
Margaret married Hugh Dinwiddie on November 22, 1792, in Pennsylvania. The family migrated to Trumbell County, Ohio in 1825, where her husband died shortly thereafter. She removed with her children to Hebron, Porter County, Indiana in the 1830's.
The following known children came from the union: Mary, David, John, Hugh (died young), Jane, Margaret, Sarah and Hugh.
