Clifford "Chris" H. Linn, 89, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012, at the VA Hospital in Des Moines.

Clifford was born October 16, 1922. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Clifford worked as a machinist and professional painter for many years.

Clifford is survived by his wife, Berta Bjork-Linn; sons, Clifford, Jack, Michael, and Rick Linn; step-children, Terry Young and Pam Franks; best friend and son-in-law, John Franks; sister, Gladys Morrell; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Catherine Linn, sons, Ernest and Carl, and several siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2012, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Iowa Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to assist with funeral expenses. Casual attire please.
