Phyllis Ann Klovstad, 79, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at Northern Pines Medical Center in Aurora.

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully.

Phyllis was born and raised in Detroit Lakes, Minn. She resided in Hoyt Lakes, where she raised her family. Phyllis was one of four sisters born to the late Louis and Lucille (Courneya) Boorom. She spent all of her life loving her family. Her home was always full of love and laughter. She loved sharing her time with family and friends. She especially loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and devoted herself to her family. She was a longtime standing member of TOPS 702, with many achievements. She was also a member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Hoyt Lakes, and Womans Auxillary No. 4108 in Aurora. She loved her flower gardens and making homemade treasures for family and friends. Phyllis always loved the family gatherings at all holidays.

She will be greatly missed by all.

Phyllis is survived by eight children, Timothy Howard, Linda Pellinen, Kenneth Howard, Kimberly (Rob) Marwick, Christine (Donald) Erchul, Terry Klovstad, Thomas (Kerrie) Klovstad, Donald, (Denise) Klovstad; 22 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Frances Kucera, Barbara Lavaque, Karen (Richard) Wallace; extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, George Howard; and her second husband, Donald Klovstad; infant daughter, Cynthia; and son, George.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at Faith Lutheran Church in Hoyt Lakes. The Rev. Art Dale will officiate. Urn burial will be held at the Hoyt Lakes Cemetery, with reception to follow at the Faith Lutheran Church. Services by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home.
