A native of Seneca, New York, he played football for the West Seneca High School in West Seneca, New York, before turning pro. Strzelczyk who was 6'3, and 309lbs, was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 11th round (293rd pick overall) of the 1990 NFL Draft out of the University of Maine. Strzelczyk played for the Pittsburgh Steelers as an offensive lineman from 1990 until February 2000, when he was released from the team. One of his greatest moments was playing in the 1995 Super Bowl. On September 30, 2004, Strzelczyk was killed in a fiery car crash in Herkimer, New York, after leading police on a 40-mile chase along the New York State Thruway. The crash also injured a 60 year old driver of a tanker truck carrying corrosive acid. At the time of his death he was just 36 years old. (bio by: K)
