Funeral services for Mrs. Oscar A. (Fay) House, 71, Albuquerque, NM, will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home with the Rev. Volney Lofgreen officiating.

Burial will be in the Grand Island Cemetery. visitation hours will be from 3-9 p.m. Monday.

Mrs. House, a former Grand Island resident, died in New Mexico, Friday.

She was born Nov. 9, 1898, at Arrowsmith, Ill., to James and Louisa Hueber Hudson and moved with her parents to Modale, Iowa, where she graduated from high school in 1917. She married Oscar A. House Jan. 5, 1918, and they farmed in Iowa and Illinois and ran motels in Indiana. They retired in 1963 and moved to Grand Island and moved again in 1966 to New Mexico.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Grand Island.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter Mrs. Robert J. Oshlo of Grand Island, and 10 grandchildren.

Mrs. House was preceded in death by one son, two sisters, and one brother.
