James A. Miller, 77, of Louisville, Ohio, died Wednesday, Jan 15, 2003, at Oakhill Manor Care Center, Louisville.
Born in Catawissa, Pa., May 17, 1925, he was a son of the late Alvin and Lulu (Rhodes) Miller.
An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Miller was a former POW.
A longtime employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad, he retired from the Georgia Pacific Paper Co.
Mr. Miller was past-president of the United Paper Workers Local 460 for 17 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 548 in Louisville and the National Rifle Association. He was also an active member of the Stark County Amateur Radio Organization, Alliance Chapter.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, in 1999; three brothers: Guy, Paul and Bradley Miller; and by a sister, Mildred Miller.
Surviving are his three sons: James, Richard and Steven; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of Ohio; two sisters: Ann Houchin of North Canton, Ohio and Dora Boadman of Catawissa, Pa.; a brother Gene C. Miller, Catawissa, Pa.
Internment has been made in Union Cemetery, Louisville, Ohio.
