Sophia was born at Rohrbach, South Russia, daughter of Philipp and Elisabetha (Bachmann) Boehler. Sophia married (1) John Ochsner Sr. of Worms, South Russia, born May 27, 1855. Sophia came to America with John's family, while John, completed his service with the Russian Army. John joined Sophia at Sutton, Nebraska, in 1886, where they lived until 1898, when they moved to a farm three miles west of Zeeland, in Emmons County, North Dakota. John died March 1921, and Sophia married (2) 1924 to Anton Allmendinger of Selby, South Dakota. Some time after Anton died, Sophia moved to Zeeland, where she lived until her passing.
