Anne Claudine Chappet was born in Savoie, Rhone-Alpes, France in 1688. Anne was the daughter of Maitre Francois Chappet (1663 – 1691) and Marguerite Mareschallet Chappet (1663 – 1691).

Anne Claudine Chappet married Jean Francois Chaumontet (1682-1747)in Saint Julien, Savoy, France on July 28, 1705. This is now in Switzerland. He was the son of Prosper De Chaumontet (1650 – 1707) and Christofle Clavel Chaumontet (1650 – 1718). Jean Francois was born 1 Feb 1682 in Saint-Julien, Savoy, France. To understand better the area where Jean Francois was born: Savoy is a French department located in the Rhône-Alpes region in the French Alps. Together with the Haute-Savoie, Savoie is one of the two departments of the historic region of Savoy that was annexed by France on June 14, 1860, following the signature of the Treaty of Turin on March 24, 1860. It comprises roughly the territory of the Western Alps situated between Lake Geneva in the north and Dauphiné in the south. The historical territory is shared between the modern republics of France and Italy.

Jean and Claudine had the following 7 known children:

Etienette Chaumontet (1706 –); Jean Francois Chaumontet (1708 – 1750); Philibert Chaumontet (1710 – ); Infant Chaumontet (1711 – 1716); Jacqueline Chaumontet (1721); Joseph Chaumontet Shomo (1723 – 1786) and Marie Francois Chaumontet (1728 –).

Jean Francois Chaumontet was a notary. Ann Claudine's dad was a notary also, and her family wealth helped Jean Francois become a very important and influential man. He wrote his will in 1747 and recorded it in Annecy, Savoy. The will bears witness to his considerable wealth.

Ann died on 26 Jun 1728 in Savoie, Rhone-Alpes, France. She was 40 years old.
