Eddie Pearl Fred, 62, of near Hatton, died at 2:00pm on April 26, 1957 at his home of fifty years.
No physician was in attendence. Death cert recorded death as probable Respiratory and Heart Failure. The informant was his wife.
Eddie was born August 16, 1894, in Audrain County, the son of Edward and Elizabeth (Blanton) Fred. He was united in marriage to Mary Ancelery Chism and she survives at their home. He was a farmer most of his life.
Arrangements were under the care of Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with burial in the Hatton Cemetary.

E. PEARL FRED FOUND DEAD YESTERDAY AFTERNOON IN THE YARD AT HIS HOME NEAR HATTON:
Edward "Eddie" Pearl Fred was found dead yesterday at his farm near Hatton.
Harry Stewart, Coronor of Callaway County, ruled death occured from a Heart Attack. He had been under the care of a physician for several months.
Funeral services will be held at Pleasant Grove Church att Hatton on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The body will be in state at the Maupin Funeral Home until the time of service.
Mr. Fred was born near Hatton on August 16, 1894, the son of Edward and Elizabeth Kathryn (Blanton) Fred. He was united in marriage to Mary Anciley Chism. She survives him at their home.
Mr. Fred farmed on the same farm all of his life.
He is survived by two children, Mrs. Lois Lorraine Harrison of Mexico and Robert Edward Fred of Whittier of California, three grandchildren, Russell Eugene Harrison and June and Joan Fred.
