Family tradition confirmed by census and death certificates tells the following: Andrew the oldest son of Michael Ault left the family at a young age and married Keziah Jane Moore. Their oldest son John Andrew Ault was born in Kentucky and census documents support this account. Andrew and Keziah traveled into Indiana where they almost lost baby John Andrew at the White River at a wagon cross over. Keziah's father James Henry Moore and his family settled near Brookston, Indiana where Keziah's daughter Mary was born and they then continued on to Porter County. They owned a store where Keziah and the younger children died from an illness. Andrew survived with John Andrew, Mary and Isaac his children. Andrew resettled near what would become Outlet now known as Lowell, Indiana. While constructing a mill Andrew died leaving the youngest son Isaac living with his uncle Washington Ault in Porter County. Census of Washington Ault Andrew's brother in 1850 support this account. John Andrew and Mary lived as orphans in Lowell until John Andrew married store owner Jonah Thorn's daughter Luretta and Mary married James Nathaniel Moore no relation to her mother Keziah Jane Moore. Mary's death certificate supports the claim that Keziah Jane Moore is the wife of Andrew and the mother of John Andrew Ault, Mary Ault Moore and Isaac Ault.
