DENVER - William H. Leffel, 70, Rt. 3, Peru, died at 6:46 p.m. Saturday in Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru. He was born Oct. 10, 1916, in Peru, to Harley and Fern Gruwell Leffel. He was married Aug. 28, 1937, in Peru, to Delores E. Laycock, who survives. He was a retired building contractor and a member of the Non-Denominational Church. Surviving with his wife are five sons, William J., Rt. 5, Peru; David L., Rt. 2, Peru; Thomas, Fulton; Steven, Grabill, and Stanley, Peru; one brother, James M., Rt. 3, Peru; two sisters, Ruthann, Richmond, Va., and Margaret Hazelrigg, Salinas, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in McCain Funeral Home, Denver, with Murray Keene officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
