Copeland Sanders Baker was born on May 21, 1915. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and his son. He is survived by his wife, son, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his brother. Copeland's business career included AVCO, management at the Kroger Co., ownership of home improvement businesses and the Roller Drome on Thompson Lane. He also handled concessions and property management at Bristol and Nashville Raceway, where he was affectionately known as Mr. "B". Copeland was a member of the Brentwood Hills Church of Christ and a former member of Woodmont Hills and Una Churches here in Nashville. He was actively involved in Disaster Relief and in mission work in Honduras as well as Nigeria. He was a founding member of Youth Encouragement Services, which continues to serve the inner city youth of Nashville. Copeland was also one of the founders of the Lakeshore.
