James Robert "Robbie" and Sylvitha Owen were married April 10,1910 and were parents to eleven children, including two sets of twins.

James Robert (Robbie) Owen, 82, of Lake Toxaway died at a Greenville, S. C. hospital Friday March 6, 1964. He spent most of his life in Transylvania County and was a retired farmer.
Surviving are six daughters: Mrs. Beulah Jones, Mrs. Kanzie Anders, Mrs. Leota Moore and Mrs. Oleda King of Lake Toxaway, Mrs. Opal Broome of Travelers Rest, S. C. and Mrs. Donna Callahan of Philomath, Oregon; three sons, Olan Owen of Princeton, Fla., Furman Owen of Brevard and L. E. Owen of the home; one brother J. Colie Owen of Frostproof, Fla., 18 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p. m. at Macedonia Baptist Church by Rev. Vasco Manley and Rev. F. T. Rose. Burial will be in the church cenmetery,
Moore-Kilpatrick Funeral Home is in charge.
