Mr. Gilmer Lee Heath, 91, of 4995 Yanceyville Road, died Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at his residence.
The funeral for Mr. Heath will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2001, at Forbis and Dick North Elm Chapel. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park.
Mr. Heath was born July 30, 1909, in Guilford County, to the late Walter and Daisy Heath. He retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation in 1973.
Mr. Heath is survived by his wife of 69 years, Selma Loyd Heath; three children, Fred L. Heath and wife, Clara of Troutman, Jean H. Kuck and husband, Ralph of Greenville, S.C., and Sarah Bean of Browns Summit; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
