Texas, USA
Death: Jun., 2005

Son of Celine H. (Persyn) and Julian August Lassere, Julian passed into eternal rest after a courageous battle of lung and brain cancer. His faith carried him to the end of his journey, never complaining of pain or sorrow.

He married Virginia Power in 1954, and to that union four children were born. They divorced in 1974, and he was married to Lois Berry in 1975.
Julian is survived by his wife; his children Joyce (Robert) Faulkner, Bubbie [Julian] Lassere, Celine (Mark) Turner, Jake Lassere, Marilyn Lassere (Luke Hardy), Darion Lassere, Darleen (Tony) Martinez; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; his aunt, Frances Corveleyn; and brothers Leroy (Sara Lynn) Lassere and Robert (Evelyn) Lassere.
Julian was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Mark Matthew Turner.

Julian started his long career at Barrett Industries in 1955, he started as a truck driver, as time progressed he started batching cement, his ability to learn more lead him to become Plant Manager. Julian was dedicated to his job and later became Operational Production Manager over all of Barrett Industries Cement Plants. In 1991 Alamo Concrete Products became the new owners of Barrett Industries and Julian continued his dedication for a combined employment of nearly 50 years.

Julian was supportive of the Southwest FFA and 4-H. He always provided his children with show animals and taught them responsibility. He was a farmer and cattleman who loved going to the country to feed the cattle, and ride through the pastures to check or mend fences. After counting and observing the cattle he would park his truck and tell stories of different events that happened in his life. Every year he would prepare for the Laredo and Medina County Trail Ride, and we would all learn something new about the lifestyle of the cowboy. He was active in surrounding area benefits such as trail rides, auctions, and booster clubs.
