Warren Jackson died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on June 25th at Sharp Hospice in La Mesa, after a long struggle with brain cancer.
Warren was born in a U.S. military hospital in Wiesbaden, Germany, and was raised on U.S. military bases around the world. Warren was a master of all trades, there was nothing that he could not repair or create. He was an avid sports fan who remained steadfastly loyal to the Duke Blue Devils, the USC Trojans and his beloved San Diego Chargers.
Warren loved children and being a family man. His children were his proudest accomplishments. He was a loving and committed father and husband.
Warren is survived by his wife Thea and two children, 4-year old Kai and 1-year old Savannah, his mother Inge Miller, stepfather Bob Miller, sisters Jennifer Heil and Janet Jackson, Janet's husband, Mark, niece Chloe, nephew Miles and his mother-in-law, Shellie Wells. His father, Warren Jackson Sr., passed away last year.
A memorial Service will be held at El Camino Memorial Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Drive, San Diego, on Friday, July 13th, at 11am. The service will be followed by a Celebration of Life at the La Jolla Country Club. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Warren's memory be made to a trust set up for his children: Jackson Family Trust, P.O. Box 181, Imperial Beach, CA 91933.
