THURSDAY. DECEMBFR 28 1911.
Martha Keep.
On Wednesday, Dec 20, the last sad
messenger, "death," entered the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Keep and
claimed their eldest daughter, Martha,
aged nearly 16 years. Two years ago
Martha gave her heart to God while in
perfect health, but not many months
after tbe illness which terminated in her
death, began, and like a beautiful flower
she faded, but so gradually that only her
closest friends realized that she must go
until a few days before the coming of the
"messenger." She leaves besides her
parents, two sisters and one brother and
many friends to mourn her untimely
death.
The funeral was largely attended on
Saturday, December 23, the anniversary
of her birth, at the family home on the
Lake road in Hector. Martha was a
beautiful and affectionate girl beloved
by all who knew her. The flowers were
beautiful and abundant.
The funeral sermon was preached by
her pastor. Rev. Mr. Foster of Burdett.
Burial in Hector Union Cemetery.
"She cannot come to us, but we can
go to her."
