"Frank Benedict, aged 65, of Morris, died Wednesday, May 12, en route to Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta. He was born March 6, 1900, in the Town of Butternuts, the son of Solon and Lizzie (Hurlbutt) Benedict. He married Wanda Hammond on April 8, 1919, in Morris. Mr. Benedict was an electrician. He was a member and trustee of the First Baptist Church of Morris, and a member of Tianderrah Lodge 605, F&AM of Morris. Surviving are his wife; a son, Frederick of Morris; a sister, Mrs. Charles Gage of Morris; a brother, Gould Benedict of Morris; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday at the First Baptist Church of Morris, with the Rev. John Tinklepaugh, officiating. Burial was in Hillington Cemetery in Morris."
