William David Hinton, 69, of Browns Store, Virginia passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2012. Mr. Hinton was a life member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and was a farmer for over 50 years. He graduated from Northumberland High School and was a member of the Lancaster Union Masonic Lodge #88 A.F.& A.M. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira David Hinton, Jr. and Anna Spence Hinton; sister, Barbara Hinton Rice; and an infant daughter. He was survived by his wife of 48 years, Lucy J. (Polly) Hinton; daughter, Stacey Hinton Kitchen and husband, Stephan; son, Robert David Hinton and wife, Jennifer; two sisters, Virginia Lee Hayden of Mechanicsville, Virginia and Frances Byrd Madison of West Point, Virginia; five grandsons, Bryce, Chase, Jack Ryan, Harrison, and Evan; and several nieces and nephews.
