Alexander Jr., former owner of Precision Machine Co. in Richmond, will be held tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Epiphany Lutheran Church, Monument Avenue and Horsepen Road. A funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Reformation Lutheran Church in New Market. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Alexander died yesterday at his Richmond residence. He was 72. He started Precision Machine, an industrial machine shop, in the 1960s. He sold the business in 1980 when he retired. After he retired, he built grandfather clocks for his friends. A New Market native, he moved to Richmond in 1955 to work for West Engineering Co. He was a longtime member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, the Tuckahoe Lions Club, Westhampton Masonic Lodge and ACCA Temple Shrine. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gale Bowers Alexander of Richmond; a son, Michael E. Alexander of Richmond; one brother, William Alexander of Silver Spring, Md.; three sisters, Mrs. Earl Flemming and Mrs. Virgie Curry, both of New Market, and Mrs. Geneva Holsinger of Sanford, Fla.; and four grandchildren. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Epiphany Lutheran, Monument Avenue and Horsepen Road, Richmond 23226; or to Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad, Horsepen Road, Richmond 23226.
