Etsel was born 17 Feb 1914 in Ririe, Jefferson, Idaho son of George H. and Martha Spracher Radford. He attended school in Ririe.
He married Cleo Lavon Gallup 2 Mar 1936 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The marraige was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints and has been Scout Master and Elders Quorum president.
He was a contract milk hauler for Kraft for many years. Etsel loved to fish and had many fishing friends, and was always taking someone fishing on his boat.
Survivors are his wife; four sons, Gene A. Radford, Max E. Radford, both of Clark, Lynn H. Radford, and Kevin L. Radford, both of Ririe; and one daughter, Colleen (Rudy) Hausdorf of Snohomish, Washington; two brothers, Jessie R. Radford of Menan, Idaho, and Grant D. Radford of Clark; and one sister, Vera (Charlie) Haskell of Carey, Idaho; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a baby daughter born and died 14 Dec 1953 (memorial # 9477082).
He died 6 Nov 1984 in an Idaho Falls hospital of a heart condition.
Funeral services were held 9 Nov 1984 in the Ririe Stake Center with Bishop Delos Stucki officiating. Burial was in the Ririe Shelton Cemetery.
