My loving thanks to Ryan, APMOTSB: Lover of the Shimmer in the Stars Ryan S. for kindly sponsoring this memorial.
Robert Fulkerson passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, after a courageous 8-month battle with leukemia.

I came to learn of my "Cousin" Bob, while researching my grandmother's maternal lineage through his fascinating website, www.fulkerson.org. It was through this site that the "brick wall" I had struggled with for years finally came tumbling down and I was able to trace my ancestry back to the 1300s.
Bob and I share a common ancestor in the personage of Caleb Fulkerson, a fifer in the Revolutionary War who was captured during a scouting expedition and confined in a New York prison for 8-9 months under brutal conditions. Caleb is buried on a vineyard-covered hillside overlooking Seneca Lake, a few hundred yards west of the Fulkerson Winery. It is here were Bob was also laid to rest--on the land our ancestor once owned and which has remained in the Fulkerson family to this day.
As a result of Bob's sharing his genealogical research on his website, my father and I were able to visit our ancestor's grave in 2010. It was truly an awesome experience and one which we shall never forget. Bob's website is so informative that it is reportedly used in classrooms as a teaching tool.
Many thanks, dear Cousin Bob. May you what rest in peace among our ancestors, enjoying the beautiful view of the lake and the vineyards.
