Edward Merwin Lee
Birth: Aug. 23, 1835
Death: Jan. 1, 1913

Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General. He served during the Civil War as Lieutenant Colonel of the 5th Michigan Volunteer Cavalry, which was a part of the famed "Michigan Wolverine" brigade commanded by General George A. Custer. He was brevetted Brigadier General, US Volunteers on March 13, 1865 for "gallant and meritorious services during the war".  (bio by: Russ Dodge)
