Funeral services for Artie Marseiles Butler, 78, of Corinth, are set for 2 p.m. August 1, 2012 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with burial at Fraley's Chapel Church of Christ cemetery.

Mrs. Butler died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. Born April 12, 1934, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Kendrick Road Church of Christ. She loved her family and friends, and before she got sick she loved to go out and visit them. She loved listening to gospel music, flowers and going to church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Tedford Butler; a son, Tommy Lee Daniel Butler; her parents, William Thomas and Minnie Gale Barnes Smith and Simon Barnes Smith; and her sisters, Flossie E. Wilson, Jewell Beatrice Mullins, Mary E. McFall and Patsy Joan Hindmon.

Survivors include a son, Larry Joe Butler of Corinth; her sisters, Minnie Grace Jones of Corinth, and Bonnie L. Strickland and husband Pete of Corinth; a speical frined, John Knight and wife Darlene of Corinth; numerious nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Minister Charles Curtis, John Knight, and Charlie Browning will officiate.

Pallbearers will be John Knight, Wayne Strickland, Danny McKee, Danny Spears, Randy Jones, and Doug Butler.
