2nd wife - Elizabeth A. (Mathis) Morris - (1872 - 1963) Find A Grave Memorial# 63285109 she died 28 June, 1963, Joplin, Jasper Co. Mo. DC # 63-024806) daughter, Juanita Baugh was the informant.

Elizabeth Adeline 'Addie' Mathis Morris

www.sos.mo.gov/images/archives/deathcerts/1963/1963_00024806.PDF

Her obit was in The Joplin Globe June 29, 1963 page 2.

Elizabeth Adelina Morris

Mrs. Elizabeth Adelina Morris, 90 years old, died at 4:30 o'clock Friday afternoon in her home at 1717 Iowa avenue after a six month illness.

Born in Van Buren, Ark., she had lived in Joplin 50 years, moving from Mulgrove [Muldrow], Okla.

She was formerly married to the late James T. Brotherton of Joplin.

Mrs. Morris was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Juanita Hendricks Ball [Baugh], of the home; a son, Floyd Nichols, 828 Empire avenue, 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be under direction of Mason chapel.

The Joplin Globe June 29, 1963 page 2.

-------------

There are 2 mistakes in that obit, there isn't a Mulgrove, Okla. that I can find, and Juanita's last name was Baugh, not Ball.

She was married to a John Cavener, James D Hendricks and an unknown Baugh (still need to find his name).

She was the only child James and Addie had together. (That I'm aware of)

Dale
