Lucille G. (nee Berardinelli) Rupp-Pinney, 86, a longtime resident of Euclid, passed into Heaven July 29, 2012, at Euclid Hospital.
Born Nov. 20, 1925, in Cleveland., she was born and raised in the Collinwood area.
Lucille graduated from Collinwood High School in 1944, and went to work as a waitress at Stouffer's Restaurant. She later worked as a waitress at the famous Colony Inn for 38 years. Lucille finished her profession at The Cup, retiring at the age of 72, and began taking care of her mother, Henrietta; and brother, Joey Maxim, the former Light-Heavyweight Champion of the World.
Survivors are her son, Larry (Darlene) Rupp; daughter, Sharon (Mike) Nyer; grandchildren, Nikole Rupp and Kyle, Erica and Maxemilian Nyer; brothers, Emanuel, John and Richard (Rose) Berardinelli; brother-in-law, Bill Preston; and many nieces, nephews and friends she served.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henrietta "Katie" and Giovanni Berardinelli; brothers, Joey (Mitchie) Maxim and Baby John Berardinelli; sister, Janet Preston; and sisters-in-law, Virginia Berardinelli and Carol Berardinelli.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Zele Funeral Home, 452 E. 152nd St., Cleveland.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 15712 Kipling Ave., Cleveland. The Rev. Marty Polito will officiate. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
