An obituary published in the Herald and Review for Kenneth Edward Rueff, 87, of Shelbyville, states he had died December 4, 2001 in the Shelbyville Manor. He was born Jan. 30, 1914, in Vandalia, the son of Ezra and Geneva Causey Rueff. He married Mildred Furr June 26, 1937. She preceded him in death March 20, 1978. He then married Hazel Eversole McDonald June 26, 1979. Surviving were his wife, Hazel; sons, Leroy Rueff and wife Susie, Jim McDonald and wife Jackie; daughters, Linda Glick and husband Lynn; Kathy Reeves and husband Roger; Ginny Kater and husband David; brothers, Frank Rueff and wife Brenda, Bob Rueff and wife Gladys; Paul Rueff and wife Margie; sisters, Mary O'Kelley; Reba Price; sister-in-law, Doris Rueff; grandchildren, Lance and Lake Glick; Andy Rueff, Sara Wiedner, Jill Winslow and Jeff McDonald; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Rueff. He graduated from Tower Hill High School, Class of 1931. He was retired from the U.S. Soil and Water Conservation Services, Shelbyville, and was a seed corn dealer for Funks for 40 years. He was affiliated with the Free Methodist Church, Shelbyville, a 4-H leader for many years and an avid gardener.
