The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold (Rose Beatty) Fritchen, he was born in Racine on April 7, 1921. He was a lifelong resident of Racine.
During World War II he served in the United States Air Force Engineers in the Pacific theatre. He was employed by Rexnord Corp. of Racine for 22 years before retiring on May 1, 1981 and was a member of Belle City Machinists Lodge 437 since Feb. 2, 1946.
Survivors are three brothers, Dallas N. Fritchen, Racine, John L. Beatty, Kenosha, and Elmer H. Beatty, Phoenix; four sisters, Sister Elizabeth Mary Fritchen S.S.S.F., Milwaukee, Mrs. Robert (Dolores) Ellison, Kenosha, Miss Mary Ann Beatty, and Mrs. Finian (Monica) Darga, Racine.
