Quoted from Independent Record (Helena MT) 09/05/2004:
Peter Louis Quigley, age 64, of Helena passed away unexpectedly to the dear Lord's arms on Sept. 2, 2004. Peter was born June 10, 1940, to Marguerite (Kirwan) and John R. Quigley. He was a fifth generation member of the Sons and Daughters of the Montana Pioneers. He worked in Seattle at Star Machinery for many years and was featured in Crane Magazine as one of the finest Crane Men in the Northwest.

A great source of pride was Peter's military service in the U.S. Navy, where he served in the Aleutian Islands and other deployments. He thought very highly of the people and employees at the Veterans Medical Center at Fort Harrison. To his friends, Peter Quigley was a bit mischievous, but a very honest, generous, kind and caring man.

Peter is now in the arms of God and in the good company of his mother, Marguerite and his father, John R. Quigley, Sue Quigley, uncle Cliff, aunts Kitty and Marie and many more relatives and friends.

A graveside service with military honors accorded by the Lewis & Clark Veterans Council was held Sept. 7, 2004, at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison. Retz Funeral Home cared for the arrangements.
