Jane taught at several schools in the area, including Sacred Heart, Newport City, Coventry and Newport Center, but mostly in Albany teaching Grade 4 from 1996–2004. She had also been employed for two years, 1985-1987, as the Head Teacher–Acting Principal for grades K-6 at the Albany Schools. Jane enjoyed gardening, cross-country skiing, cooking, traveling, reading and her pets, Matilda and Scarlett. But mostly, she enjoyed time with her family, especially her four grandsons, whom she adored.

She leaves a daughter, Jessica and husband, Adam Trevits, and a son, Jonathan Davis and wife, Lindsay, all of Albany; four grandsons, Connor and Nicholas Trevits and Asa and Elijah Davis; three sisters, Geraldine Galpeau and husband, Reynold, of Pittsfield, Mass., Rosemarie Allard and husband, John, of Oakridge, Tenn., and Monica Chouinard and companion, Maurice Cote of Derby; two brothers-inlaw, Richard Davis and Blaine Davis and his wife, Mary, all of Albany; as well as nieces, nephews, and many extended family and friends, including her special companion, John Adams III of Enosburg.
