| Birth: | Dec. 15, 1842 County Cork, Ireland | | Death: | 1935 Hartford Hartford County Connecticut, USA | Architect: Much of his early work was designing crypts and cemetery memorials. One such memorial that he designed was the tomb for J.P.Morgan at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford,CT. The Notham Chapel and the Gallup Memorial Gateway to the Cedar Hill Cemetery were also Keller's designs. He also helped design the Senate and House wings to the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. and buildings in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. One of his most notable works is the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch, Bushnell Park, Hartford, CT. As he had a distaste for public cemeteries, it was his request to have his ashes encased in that same arch and so there they lie in the east tower along with those of his wife, Mary, who died in 1946.
