Musician. Born in Hereford, England, he was a bass guitarist and a founding member of the rock band, The Pretenders. The group was formed in 1978, with Farndon playing a large role in shaping band's tough image. His distinctive bass playing and backup vocals were featured on the group's first albums "Pretenders" (1980), "Extended Play" (1981) and "Pretenders II" (1981).
