Services for Amelia Humphries, 94, Millbrooke Drive, were at 10 a.m. today at Lamb Funeral Home, with the Rev. Larry Wilson officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
She died at 1:20 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
A native of Hopkinsville, she was born Oct. 1, 1914, the daughter of the late Allen C. and Blanche Ann Williams.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Alfred Humphries, in 1984 and a daughter, Margie Louise Narviez, in 1989.
Survivors include two sons, Alfred T. and Donald L. Humphries, both of Hopkinsville; four daughters, Georgie M. Cannon, Linda J Ford and Barbara S. Sholar, all of Hopkinsville, and Betty A Dorsey, Boca Raton, Fla.; a brother, Alfred Williams, Hopkinsville; a sister, Zellie Clark, Christian County; 19 grandchildren; 20 gr-grandchildren and four gr, gr-grandchildren.
