James "Jim" F., died January 16th, 2011, with family at his side in Nashville, TN. He was born August 20th, 1930 in Maryville, TN. Jim remained a resident and local business owner in Maryville for the remainder of his years. In 1953, Jim married Rose Quinn and together they raised six children whose families have produced 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his children, Mike and Pam Oxendine of Maryville, Corky and Sherry Beeler (Oxendine) of Mount Juliet, Tenn, Sandy Oxendine of Maryville, Donna Roberts (Oxendine) of Maryville, Doug Oxendine of Lebanon, Tenn; and special nieces, Deitra Cooper and Jenny Jones.
Jim was preceded in death by parents, Jesse and Stella Oxendine; wife, Cheri "Rose" Oxendine; son, Eddie Oxendine; grandson, Nathaniel Oxendine; brothers, Bobby Eugene and Edd Oxendine of Alcoa; sisters, Kathryn Oxendine, Dorothy Mantooth, Ina Lee Young, and Mary Ruth Crompton.
Funeral services will be held 7:30 PM Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Miller Funeral Home. Interement service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday at Clark's Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville
