Albert L. Oltmanns, 81,died at the Anamosa Community hospital Sunday, July 20, following an extended illness. Services were scheduled Wednesday, July 23, at 10:30 a.m at the Zion Lutheran church with burial in the Wayne Zion cemetery. Rev. Harvey O Gilbertson was to officiate. He was born March 15,1899, in Castle Grove township, Jones county, the son of John and Eliza Weers Oltmanns. He received his early education in the Cass township schools. He was married to Anna C Hinrichs Dec. 11,1919, at the Zion Lutheran church and the couple farmed in Cass and Wayne townships before moving to their present farm in Jackson township in 1954. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lena Margaret, a granddaughter, Darsee Lange, his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Survivors are his wife, Anna; eight children,
Ludwig and Henry of Anamosa, Catherine (Mrs.Alvin) Licht, Emma (Mrs. Keith) Lange and Annie (Mrs. Edgar) Hintz, all of Lowden, Martha (Mrs.
Martin) Winch, Alberta (Mrs. Marvin) Boysen and Ervin Oltmanns, all of Marion; one sister, Dena (Mrs John) Albers, Anamosa; 20 Grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren.
Casketbearers were his grandsons, Harvey Oltmanns, Dennis Oltmanns, Bruce Winch, Marlon Lange, Chris Oltmanns and David Hintz.
