-- Services for Henry Rosco Clouse, 53 years old, who died Sunday morning in his home in the Aroma community on Granby route 2, following a heart seizure, will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in Sweetwater Baptist church, south of Granby. The Rev. Mark Senter and the Rev. Charles Layman will officiate. Burial will be in Gibson cemetery, east of Neosho, under direction of the Shewmake funeral home of Granby. Pallbearers will be Wayne Brock, Alvin Cooper, G. B. Kelly, Floyd McGowan, Clarence Capps, and Walter Payne.
Mr. Clouse, who was a carpenter, had lived in the Aroma community 22 years. He was born in Marshall, Ill., June 9, 1909. He was a member of the Christian Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Goldie Clouse; seven daughters, Mrs. Ruth Scheneck of Tribune, Kan., Mrs. Thelma Keeling of Fairview, Mo., Mrs. Mary Fulkerson of Independence, Mo., and Clarene, Delores, Lida and Patty, at home; five sons, Jack Clouse of Neosho route 4, Jerry Clouse of Kansas City, Henry L. Clouse of Fort Leonard Wood and Harold and Cyrus at home; his mother, Mrs. Gertie Smitley of Marshall, Mo. [error, Gertie lived in Marshall, Illinois]; six sisters Mrs. Ruby Bayes, Mrs. Mildred Pine, Mrs. Clara Sanders and Miss May Clouse of Marshall, Mrs. Kathryn Miles of Paris, Ill., and Mrs. Jane Grant of the state of Michigan; a brother, Kenneth Clouse of Alameda, Calif.; four half-brothers, George Smitley, Harod Smitley, Dean Smitley and Dan [error, Don] Smitley of Marshall, 17 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.----- Jody
