Cheryl Parks, 73, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 22, 2012, at home in her sleep, only to be reunited with her daughter/best friend, Jackie.

She was born March 8, 1939 in Clearfield, Utah to Dale and Fern Barlow.

Cheryl graduated from Davis High School and married the love of her life, Robert Parks on June 21, 1957. They spent the next 55 years happily married.

She had several jobs and her own plaster craft business. She retired from Hill AFB where she worked for a private contractor. Her favorite job was spending time with her family as a dedicated wife and mother. When she wasn't on the golf course or spending countless hours beautifying her yard you could find her spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Robert, two sons, Randy and Rob (Carla), son-in-law, Kent Dahl; seven grandchildren, Kasey (Kristin), Krista Lynn (Bobby), Kyle (Cali), Kara; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pam (Mike) Shulz, Kaysville; Sue (K.C.) Halls, Layton; and a brother-in-law, LaVar Whitaker, Concord, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Collene Whitaker and daughter, Jackie Lynn Dahl. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 30th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

The family will meet with friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
