Greene Farmer Dies Suddenly
Oscar Perry Victim of Heart Attack Tuesday

Charles City - Funeral arrangements were incomplete late Tuesday for Oscar Perry, 86, Pleasant Grove township farmer, who died Tuesday morning in the Cedar Valley hospital of a heart ailment. he was taken to the hospital Saturday after suffering a heart attack last Thursday. The Hanns funeral home in Greene will have charge and interment will be in Rose Hill cemetery at Greene.

Mr. Perry was born Nov. 24, 1858, 5 miles southeast of Charles City, on what is known as the Bonzer farm. He married Amy Tubbs at Greene in 1888 and moved to the farm in Pleasant Grove township in Floyd county, where he has spent the remainder of his life. His wife preceded him in death in 1936. he was a director of the First State bank at Greene for several years. He is survived by 2 brothers, George Perry, of Charles City, and Ed Perry, of Chicago, and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Davidson, of Charles City.
