PAULETTE CURRY PORTER departed this life on Friday,
March 8,2002 at 1:40 p.m. at Audubon Hospital.
PAULETTE was born January 25,1949 in Louisville,Kentucky to
Ida Anderson Curry and the late James T.Curry.She was the first of two children.
She accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership
of the late Reverend H.M.Humphrey,Sr. at the Shiloh Baptist
Church,where she remained a very faithful member until her
After high school,she began working at General Electric
where she met her husband,Thomas "Peanuts"Porter.They were
joined in Holy Matrimony on August 11,1973.
She was a strong advocate for the awareness of Breast Cancer.PAULETTE fought a good fight for nine years.She was
an active participant in Relay for Life,Run for the Cure,
Friends for Hope,and numerous other activities.
She leaves to mourn,her devoted husband,Thomas Porter;her loving mother,Ida Curry;her faithful sister,
Patricia Bullard;two caring nieces,Nickcole and Monica Bullard;a supportive nephew,William Bullard(Shonda);a great-niece and nephew,Courtney and Aaron Bullard,who fondly referred to PAULETTE as "Aunt Sweet Pea";three uncles;two aunts;and a host of relatives and friends.
