James Henderson, son of William Henderson and Mary Cannon Henderson, married Leah Lewis Swann on 1 Dec. 1836 in Jefferson Co., TN. They had 3 children:

Amanda Henderson Sharp (1837 - 1907)
Elizabeth Henderson Loveday (1839 - 1909)
Robert Henderson (1841 - 1923)

William Henderson, father of James, lost his two eldest sons within a few weeks of each other, James in Aug. 1843 and William in Sep. 1843. It is thought he buried both of them in the Henderson plot in Shiloh Cemetery. Their markers are long gone.
