On the morning of July 20, 2012, in North Pole, Alaska, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Leslie Galloway, passed away due to complications sustained from cancer, at the age of 54. Leslie was resting at home, lying in the arms of her loving and devoted husband of 36 years, Michael Galloway, when she passed, returning to her Father in Heaven.

Leslie was born to Celestia and John L. Montrose, Jr. (USA, LTC Retired) in Neubreucke, Germany, where her father was stationed with the United States Army on active duty. Leslie has three brothers, Steven, John, and Douglas; and one sister, Bonnie. Due to her father's military career, Leslie had the opportunity to grow up while living in places such as Germany, France, Italy, Hawaii, Utah and Virginia where she first met her husband and eternal companion, Mike.

Leslie and Mike were married November 19, 1976 in the Provo, Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, beginning their eternal family consisting of sons Matthew and Aaron, and daughter Jennifer. From her three children, whom she loved dearly, Leslie received the beloved title of "Oma" by being the grandmother of nine grandchildren: Haven, Jenica, Kyla, Zane, Lincoln, Jaden, Jana, Javin and Leila. As a grandmother, Leslie loved being surrounded and snuggled by her grandchildren as she read them story after story.

Like her father and husband, Leslie was very patriotic having dedicated 11 years of service to her country, working for the Department of Treasury as well as the Department of the Army. Leslie was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding callings in the presidencies of the Relief Society, Young Women and Primary.

The most predominant traits of Leslie were her devout testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ and her compassion for others, evidenced by the way she lived her life. She not only believed in God, but also knew him and lived in the manner that he taught.

While we will miss Leslie here very much, we take comfort in knowing that through the selfless atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ, we will be with Leslie again.

Funeral services in Alaska for Leslie will be held Tuesday, July 24, with a viewing at 5:00 pm, followed by a service at 6:00 pm, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 331 E 8th St, North Pole, Alaska, 99705.

Utah graveside services for Leslie will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Orem City Cemetery, 1500 North 800 East, Orem, Utah, 84057.

Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Orem, 500 North State St, Orem, Utah, 84057, at 9:00 a.m. prior to services at the cemetery. A family luncheon will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1780 North 165 East, Orem, Utah, 84057, immediately following the graveside service.
