BOYD, Maynard Gregory - 72, River Bourgeois, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Cameron and Lillian (Ratchford) Boyd. Maynard was predeceased by brothers, Hervey, Gerard, Kevin, Charlie, and Joe. He was retired from Stora ENSO, Point Tupper. Maynard Boyd was the man with the
colorful mouth and the golden heart. He loved baseball, hockey, crosswords, cards and fishing. He was generous to a fault with everything he owned; his gifts of mackerel will be missed. Individually, our relationship with Maynard was unique and special. It is no surprise that Maynard knew so many and gave so much. Love was not his words but his actions. Thanks to all of
the healthcare professionals and his friends in the community who have supported him over the years. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, July 25 at 3 p.m., in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, River Bourgeois with
Father Dennis Lamey officiating. There will also be a gathering in MacBouch Tavern in St. Peter's after 5 p.m. for a toast. Memorial donations may be made to Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society. Words of comfort may be
