Mrs. Ida (Berthao) Souza, 67, of 34 ½ Tremont Street, wife of Joseph Souza, died Wednesday at Morton Hospital after a long illness. Born in Terceira, Azores, daughter of the late Joseph and Delphina (Fraga) Berthao, she had worked for several years as an assembler at the Kilburn Glass Company in Norton until her retirement in April of last year. Mrs. Souza was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church and a member of its Holy Rosary Sodality. Surviving are her husband; two brothers, Joseph Bartel and Benny Berthao of this city; five sisters, Mrs. Alice Correia, Mrs. John (Seraphina) Coelho, Mrs. Serafim (Mary0Jo) Ferreira, and Mrs. Frank (Bella) Vaz of this city and Mrs. Geromina Vaz of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grand nephews.
