Funeral services were held in the Baptist church in Eureka Sunday for Mrs. Katherina Trautman, 84, who passed away October 03, at the Eureka hospital where she ahd been confined since 1941, having been bedridden for the last 36 years.
She was born in Johannesthal, South Russia, in November of 1860, the daughter of Andreas Delzer and Elizabeth Zimmerman Delzer. She was married in 1882 to Konrad Trautman and they came to this country to make their home, homesteading in the Artas community.
She is survived by five sons, John of Venturia, North Dakota, Conrad of Elgin, North Dakota, Henry of Eureka, Emil of Forbes, North Dakota, and Theodore of Beresford; two daughters, Mrs. Lydia Delzer, Elgin, North Dakota, and Mrs. Bertha Steiger, Hebron, North Dakota; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Beiler of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Sophia Wetzel, Wishek, North Dakota; two brothers, Christ of Napoleon, North Dakota, and Henry of Benedict, North Dakota; and 36 grandchildren.
